William John Napierkoski

William John Napierkoski, of 1103 Bechtol Ave., Sharon, PA, passed away on Wednesday afternoon., Feb 27, 2013 in Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA after a brief illness. He was 62. Mr. Napierkoski was born in Sharon, PA on April 30, 1950, the son of the late Henry "Bacon" and Margaret "Peg" (Tennant) Napierkoski.. He was a 1969 graduate of Farrell High School. He had worked as a policeman at for the city of Sharon for from 1973-1992 and was a member the F.O.P. Rose of Sharon. Bill liked sports, including watching his children play and was avid Steelers fan. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and hunting and was a Little League coach for Sharon American in his younger days. Bill was of the Methodist faith. He was the husband of Anna L. (Rodgers) Napierkoski. She survives at home. also surviving are his daughters, Christa M. Raught and her husband, Mark, of York, PA, Rebecca A. Sakonyi and her husband, Steve, of Hubbard, OH. and Sarah E.R. Napierkoski at home,his son William H. "Billy" Napierkoski and his wife, Ashlee, of Hermitage,PA. Also surviving are his four grandchildren, Skylar, Alexander, Chloe, and Libee. Besides his parents, he was preceeded in death by his brother, Charles H. Napierkoski. Donations in his memory may be made to Buhl Farm Park, F.H. Buhl Trustees, 715 Hazen Rd., Hermitage, PA 16148 Friends are invited to call Sunday, March 3, 2013 from 2:00 till 5:00p.m., at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, 264 East State St., Sharon, PA 16146. Funeral service at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, Sharon, PA. at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 4th, with Rev. David Evans, pastor of Hickory United Methodist. officiating. Cremation services provided by the funeral home.
