Kenneth E. Feigert Sr.

U.S. Veteran

Kenneth E. Feigert Sr., of 1192 Haig Street, Sharon, PA , passed away on Friday, Feb. 22, 2013 at 11:40 a.m., at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA after a brief illness. He was 83. He was born in Wheatland, PA on August 6, 1929, the son of the late Vern C. and Myrtle M. (Settle) Feigert. Ken attended Sharon Schools and went on to serve in the U.S. Army Airforce from 1946 through 1949. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Sharon, PA. Ken was a retired Captain firefighter for the city of Sharon for 25 years. He also was a self-employed locksmith for many years. He enjoyed golfing, traveling ,camping, using the computer and watching his grandsons play soccer. In his younger years, he raced stockcars at area tracks. He is survived by his wife, Margaret L. (Palmer) Feigert. whom he married on Nov. 12, 1953. She survives at home. Also surviving are his daughter, Cynthia L. Feigert, of Hermitage, PA. and his son, Kenneth E. Feigert Jr. and his wife, Teresa, of Hubbard, OH. and his two grandsons, Mark and Jonathan Feigert along with his sister, Sandra Johnston and her husband, Ken, of Mercer, PA. Besides his parents, he was preceeded in death by his grandson, Terrence Feigert, and two sisters, Juanita Ward and Norma Shipton and three brothers, Vern C. Feigert Jr., and Raymond and Richard Feigert. Donations in his memory may be made to the Westhill Ministries, 301 W. State St., Sharon, PA 16146 A Gathering Time will be held on Wednesday, Feb 27, 2013, from 5:00 until 7:00p.m. at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home 264 East State St., Sharon, PA 16146. Memorial Service at at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, Sharon, PA. at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday,Feb. 27th, with Rev. John Trojak of the 1st Baptist Church officiating. Interment at Haywood Cemetery West Middlesex, PA.
